PRESERVATIVE INGREDIENT FOR COSMETICS
AMINAT®-CG is a COSMOS preservative that combines Ethyl Lauroyl Arginate HCI (LAE®), a sustainable and non-irritating molecule, with Glyceryl Caprylate & Propanediol to reinforce its antimicrobial efficacy.
  • Ethyl Lauroyl Arginate HCl (LAE®) combines a high antimicrobial efficacy with low toxicity, non-sensitizing, and non-skin irritating features, and rapidly metabolizes into natural dietary components.
  • AMINAT®-CG incorporates Glyceryl Caprylate, a well-known emollient and emulsifying with Propanediol, used as booster. These two ingredients reinforce the antimicrobial efficacy of LAE®, minimizing the possible interactions due to its cationic nature.

Creams and lotions, body milks, sunscreens & sun care products, shampoos, conditioners and hair treatments
AMINAT®-CG is a suitable preservative blend for a wide range of personal care products.

  • Appearance: Transparent, slightly yellow liquid
  • pH at 20 °C (68°F) 1% solution (DI Water): 4.3 ± 1.0
  • Viscosity at 20°C (68°F) (Brookfield RV, sp 1, 50 rpm): < 1000 mPa·s
  • Density at 20°C (68°F): 1.06 ± 0.02 g/cm³
  • Solubility: Dispersable in oil, totally soluble in ethanol and water
  • pH stability: Stable and active between 3.0-7.0
AMINAT®-CG has a broad spectrum of activity against bacteria, yeasts and moulds.
